How to download and install WHMCS • Installing WHMCS is a simple process, as long as your server meets all the system requirements. • Generally, any server running a control panel, such as cPanel or Plesk will meet the requirements. If they are not met, you will be notified about it during the process. • You need to purchase a license for WHMCS. • Click on Client Area to log in. Fill in email address and password. Click on Login button to proceed. You can click on Remember me button for retaining the details in your system. • Go to My Products/Services section. Locate the correct license on the page. • Scroll down and find the Download section and then download the latest version of WHMCS. If you do not see any downloads, you need to contact WHMCS support department. • Once the file is downloaded to your computer, extract the archive. • Scroll down and remove .new from the configuration file’s name. With the renamed file, upload the entire WHMCS folder to your FTP server. • WHMCS code is encrypted; loncube loaders are needed for it to function. Your server might have already installed them. If it does not, you will not be able to proceed any further. • There should be an ioncube folder in the archive extracted by you. Simply upload the folder inside WHMCS directory you just uploaded. How to import cPanel/WHM domains into WHMCS • If you have lots of cPanel/WHM Accounts, it can take hours to get them all added to WHMCS. There is a shortcut utility for the same. • Open utilities menu and click on cPanel/WHM Import. Choose server you wish to import accounts from. Click on Get Account List. You will be shown a list of all accounts on the server. The highlights in yellow will indicate domain already in WHMCS, while pink indicates that the package specified in WHM does not exist in WHMCS. • Refresh the page for any missing packages. You can show only those domains owned by your domain name using this button and hide domains already in WHMCS with this one. • Select the domains you wish to import. Click on Import button. The selected accounts will be imported to WHMCS. • Click Add New Department tab. Fill in the details and click on Add department button, when done.
