Web Host Datapipe Named a Green Power Leader by EPA

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed hosting provider Datapipe announced on Wednesday that it was one of ten organizations in the US to be awarded a Green Power Leadership Award for its green power purchasing, one of several categories – including “on-site generating” and “green power community” – recognized by the award.

“EPA’s Green Power Leadership Award winners are driving the development of new renewable energy sources and demonstrating that green power makes good environmental and business sense,” said Gina McCarthy, assistant administrator for the EPA, quoted in the announcement. “We applaud Datapipe’s efforts and hope that other organizations follow their lead.”

Web Host Industry Review Editor in Chief Named Co-Chair of HostingCon 2011

Addition of Co-Chair Strengthens Conference Program for Industry’s Premier Event

West Chester, OH – April 20, 2011 — iNET Interactive (www.inetinteractive.com) announced today that Liam Eagle, editor in chief of prominent industry news and analysis publication for the hosted services industry, the Web Host Industry Review (www.thewhir.com), has been named co-chair of HostingCon 2011 (www.hostingcon.com), the premier conference and tradeshow for the hosted services industry.

In this new role, Mr. Eagle will work with existing Chair Kevin Gold to define the educational program for the event’s more than 60 sessions. Eagle has worked at the Web Host Industry Review since its inception in 2000, and as editor since 2003. He was the launch editor for the WHIR Magazine print publication in 2004, and has steered its in-depth coverage of the industry ever since. He joined iNET Interactive when it acquired the WHIR in March of this year, bringing another leading industry resource into a stable of iNET media properties that already included HostingCon, and Web Hosting Talk, the industry’s largest, most influential online community.

Simon Last-Sutton named FPS Group MD
