The +1 button is shorthand for “this is pretty cool” or “you should check this out.” In other words, the +1 button is pretty much similar in purpose to the Facebook “Like” button, yet +1 buttons let people who love your webpage recommend it on Google search results.
The +1 Button Specifications
As of now, Google is offering +1 buttons that can be placed on any web page. The button is supported in 44 languages and renders at four heights: small (15px), medium (20px), standard (24px), and tall (65px).
How to add Google +1 Button to your Website?
1. Place this tag in the head of your html document or just before your close body tag.
2. Place this tag where you want the +1 button to appear.
3. That’s it. You’re done!
