October 4, 2012 — Web hosting provider Go Daddy explained the combination of events that led to the its significant and widely-covered DNS outage September 10 in a 1,500-word post to the company’s technology blog made Thursday by chief information officer Auguste Goldman, identifying a “perfect storm” combination of network failures as the cause, and dismissing again the notion that the company’s systems were hacked.
