I have a feeling without the drakesword this walkthrough would have stopped at the capra demon and you guys would have just been stuck there infinitely.
UOGSammich says
Yea well, the drake sword is for people who need a handicap.

It’s bleeding not poison … all the enemies in basement make you bleed including the dogs. Btw advice for you guys playing knights, I imagine it’s hard to be offence since it’s defensive class, so every humanoid enemy that is constantly blocking with shield can be kicked and that creates an opening long enough to dmg. Pretty usefull against these thiefs since they have low Poise and for the rapier knights in undead Parish too.

JaymarkTech says
True, but for the majority of the enemies I would still use the high DPS Drake Sword, as it is a one-hit killer most of the time. I do see the need for thrusting weapons for certain enemies and bosses, especially the ones I wouldn’t dare fight close range.
Selushakai says
The thrusting knife is awesome because you don’t have to break your block to attack meaning you’re not opening yourself while attacking
