    if you download mysql mysql console will also be downloaded and you will be able to find it straight to “start” when download is over

    This is what I did on my Windows 7 x64 machine.

    Make a new shortcut on the desktop for C:Program FilesMySQLMySQL Server 5.5binmysql.exe and alter the target path to read.

    %SystemRoot%system32cmd.exe /K “C:Program FilesMySQLMySQL Server 5.5binmysql.exe” -u root -p

    I am not able to open sql console. you did not show how to open sql console . it would be really helpfull if you tell how do i open it.
