*NEW* Read this article: difran.co This video explains my frustration not with Final Cut Pro X itself, but the community in general. Whether you agree or disagree with my thoughts, one thing’s for sure — Apple will continue to improve this version 1.0 software over time. Final Cut Pro 7 is not going anywhere. Options are there. You cannot build an entire city overnight. 2. EstrellaFifteen Says:

Im a big fan of your videos and sorry David but i dont agree with you saying ” do you honestly think that apple expect to retain all the features ” im gotta start a healthy debate here but YES we do expect them to retain it. What would you do if ” Apple took away all the new features in iPhone 4S in the new iPhone 5? ” hahaha thats suicide right? its the same as software and im a filmmaker

You sir, deserve around of applause!

  4. LandoLondon Says:

This video should start by saying “I’m not a professional editor and have only cut with Imovie.” That’s why this is a positive review. I used to make my living as an editor and work with lots of editors who do now. This program makes it impossible for them to continue making a living. If they ever phase out FCP7, then professionals are going to have their livelihood hurt. This new program is not only a dumber version of FCP, but it’s going to put people out of work while they learn Avid.

“I can’t use ugly software” I dare you to try Avid Media Composer, then post your opinion about it.

  6. MacbookCore Says:

i love final cut but final cut pro x is a bit too consumer

  7. BrainSpecialist Says:

The thing you’re missing is that Final Cut Pro X was marketed as the replacement to Final Cut Pro 7. Apple pointed to feature films that were made with it that have won Oscars (eg. The Social Network, Cold Mountain, ect). As FCP X stands now, it can’t do that. People don’t want to spend money on something they can’t use. People expected the new program to do all the old things because that’s what they were told it would do.

  8. amenegoni Says:

its about time someone thinks the way i thought about FCP X.

  9. MrElliotB Says:

    OMG thank our Apple overlords.

I completely agree, you have to look at this from a different perspective to understand.

@RatedtR ” u don’t know how to spell kid and I can tell u r 1 with all this cursing. This would b good for u 2 learn.

U didn’t spell “angry teenager u spelled “anger teenager” and now you’re saying “you are any pro”. WTF is up with ur grammar??? I seriously think english is ur 2nd language.”

    BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

@MOXWELLDIAMOND u don’t know how to spell kid and I can tell u r 1 with all this cursing. This would b good for u 2 learn.
U didn’t spell “angry teenager u spelled “anger teenager” and now you’re saying “you are any pro”. WTF is up with ur grammar??? I seriously think english is ur 2nd language.

  14. MOXWELLDIAMOND Says:

@RatedtR I capatailize acronyms. I don’t have time to explain a acronym to you, but I 100% doubt you are any pro, especially if you don’t know what RISD is. A angry teenager is what you are you punk ass bitch. Final cut proX is for kids.

  15. RatedtR Says:

@MOXWELLDIAMOND I’m not a teen chump, I’m a pro working in the industry and just thought I’ll enlighten some of u ignorant kids who think they know it all. Despite these terrible reviews i decided to check out the program for myself and it’s not nearly as bad as knuckleheads like u make it seem 2 b.
…..what’s some anger teenager anyway? Is english ur 2nd language or do u just capitalize words randomly?

  16. MOXWELLDIAMOND Says:

@RatedtR When you learn how to spell, then you may have some credibility, but you don’t. You are just some anger teenager, fronting like they know software. I went to SCAD for undergraduate in Broadcasting design and got my MFA in visual Effects at RISD. You are a fucking joke! Bwahahahahhahahha. Final Cut ProX is for children, like you.

  17. RatedtR Says:

@MOXWELLDIAMOND no u won’t cause u dont know shit and y bring up other software that I have as well, this discussion was bout FCP X retard…whatever u do, I’ll do faster chump

  18. Johanssontt100h Says:

Another thing, Apple was going to stop supporting FCP7 anyways because FCP7 is written using Carbon. And FCPX will be continually updated with features that consumers want. Just give it a moment, these software developers are working their asses off to write efficient code that will work much better than anything that has ever been written. Also give Apple Developers some credit, it takes a lot to do shit that they do. Their job is much harder than filming any movie. People are lucky it’s $300

  19. Johanssontt100h Says:

I totally agree with you from a software developer stand point. You have no idea what Apple had to go through to develop such software. They literally started fresh like you said many times. They did so because they wanted to develop FCP under the latest technologies available today which are, Objective-C/Cocoa, OpenCL/OpenGL, OpenMP, and other great C Standards. To rewrite FCP apple had to bring legendary software developers to code such great product and get it to the market in sich short time

  20. 94dearnaley Says:

you really, really, REALLY love apple.

  21. MOXWELLDIAMOND Says:

@RatedtR I will run circles around you in NUKE, AE, Premiere, FLAME, SMOKE, AVID, FCP, AI, PS. BRING IT YOU FUCKING AMATEUR.

  22. MrCheesecakeFilms Says:

@RatedtR lol thats cute. I’ve been on x64 since cpus started supporting 64bit architecture. making a switch from x86 to x64 isn’t reason enough to rewrite it. adobe proved that u don’t need a rewrite just to support x64 when they released cs5. apple admitted that this was to be aimed at consumers, not pros. maybe do ur homework next time instead of trolling. have fun with iMovie pro buddy.

  23. RatedtR Says:

@thefrasergee just because editing software already exists doesn’t mean there can’t b new editing software. And there is no previous version of FCP X. This is the 1st.

  24. RatedtR Says:

    @TheAlex52j that’s what I’m talkin’ about

  25. RatedtR Says:

@NextWebTV ur an idiot 4 saying that and u probably never even used it
