How to copy a cPanel/WHM account to your server using its login info • There is an additional way to transfer an individual account from another server to yours. Unlike the other methods for account transfers, this does not need root SSH access to remote server. • Instead, you will be able to connect using the account’s login information. While, this does come in handy when you can’t obtain root access, this method works only when transferring from cPanel/WHM server. • If you are transferring an account from some other cPanel, you’ll have to use transfer feature requiring root SSH access. • You can always check a cPanel server version by logging in WHM. • Go to Transfers menu and click on Copy an account from another server with account password option. • You will see some usage notes at the top of the displayed page. Scroll down. • Fill in server to copy from, domain name, username to copy, user’s password and other options. Click on Copy account button to proceed. • First, this tool will create and download a backup of account from remote server. Once it is locally extracted, a new account will be generated. The account will be transferred.
