Linux Cpanel shared hosting: 600 GB disk space, 6 TB bandwidth, free domain, unlimited databases and ftp accounts, web hosting cheap and pro at Hostony

Hello again! I hope everyone in the USA had an enjoyable and safe 4th of July!

We post a State of Site5 update once a month to let our current and future customers hear about what we’re working on and give a behind-the-scenes glimpse into our company.

  • We’ve gone on a hiring spree! Within the last three months, we’ve hired an additional 19 people from all around the world to fill various positions. We’re now up to 68 team members worldwide!
  • Two brand new hosting location options were released! We are now offering Singapore and San Jose, California for web hosting, reseller hosting, and VPS hosting.
  • In the next few days, we will be offering Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada as a hosting option!
  • Migrations are going quite well. If you have any questions regarding any emails you have received in regards to your account migration, please contact our support team! We’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Ask Site5

Each month, I’m answering one user-submitted question, and if that user is a customer, their account will be credited with $ 10 that can be used towards future invoices and/or purchases with us (ie, it’s not redeemable for cash). As for stipulations on the questions that can be asked.. anything goes! Keep in mind though that only the questions that are most appealing to the widest audience will be selected. They shouldn’t be only applicable to your own account! So, start sending in your questions to asksite5@site5.com being sure to include your account number or domain name with your email if you’re a customer!

This month’s question comes from Patrick:

How come, on a shared hosting account, when someone goes to yoursite.com/webmail they’re presented with a site5 branded page? Would it be possible to have a way in backstage to change the look of the webmail login page? As I have a reseller account I don’t have this issue. But I have a friend of mine who uses the shared hosting and I noticed the difference.

Great question, Patrick! As our web hosting plans are not intended for reselling (nor is it allowed), Site5 branding makes sense from a marketing standpoint as well as sheer usability and conformity to all of our other control panels. As you pointed out, reseller plans have the standard cPanel/WHM skins and are completely anonymous so that there are no references to Site5. If branding is desired, a reseller plan will be needed.

Thanks for the question Patrick! Your account has been credited $ 10. 🙂

As always, if you have any questions please post in the comments or on the official post in the forum. Thanks for your continued business and support!

Thanks to Site5 for this post! Site5 provides web hosting, reseller hosting, and managed dedicated servers for webmasters, coders, designers, businesses, and creative people!
