@TechTubeMedia Its true, sometimes they give you a last minute discount like that. Although I looked at ipower, the basic plan is lacking a lot such as space, email accounts, bandwidth but they do look like the same company. Hostgator is one of the best!

  6. TechTubeMedia Says:

Oh, there’s also ipower (same company as fatcow, and ipage).
    That’s 3 :/

try this: Go to registration page (on all or one of the aforementioned sites), and then click on close tab.

A pop-up offering a greater discount is shown. It may be reliable and all, but I have a bone to pick with companies like these.

  7. TechTubeMedia Says:

Truthfully, I would not trust fatcow.

    Why?

visit ipage .com. Does it look familiar? It’s fatcow, at a cheaper price. Go to the registration page and compare both websites, look at the images used on both websites.

Whenever a company creates competition by opening up a clone of it’s original one, it isn’t trustworthy. I guess i’ll stick with Hostgator.

Anyways, IF you want fatcow, register for ipage, same thing just cheaper (I wouldn’t recommend any though).

@HowtoPCRecovery Yes I did, I used Hpstgator, and then FatCow.

  9. HowtoPCRecovery Says:

did you use the ^^^above web hosting plans*^^^ to create your own website?

  10. howtomedia72 Says:

how did you make your desktop?

    Thanks man, really helpful info

Gotta put a plug in for Dreamhost. They are terrific with what they offer and their support staff doesn’t talk down to anyone. Minor issues (growing pains?) with their servers occasionally but they price out well.

Missing in your webhosting pointers is what one gets regarding virtual space/shared hosting, etc. Folks new to all this may want to know the difference and may pay for the difference if they were aware of what-is-what. Thanks for the video.

    Choose wisely after researching!

  13. yutubemedia Says:

@freethetech Okay how about this, you only get a SUBDOMAIN and not your own 100% personalized domain. see?

  14. yutubemedia Says:

@GadgetCheck I need to, i really do, Perhaps ill give a shot at recording it either 2 morroow or next week

  15. ICE9RLN0 Says:

@yutubemedia There being the thing is I’ve no idea how to use it.

  16. TechnologicalUK Says:

    Great video also!

  17. yutubemedia Says:

@ICE9RLN0 Use it! Or if you cant use it, give it away, or sell it

  18. ICE9RLN0 Says:

any ideas on what I should do with my free ad credits from google? I run blogs and webcomic

  19. Logifl3x Says:

@GadgetCheck There’s tonnes of youtubers that show you like tutvid. Making a video showing how to make a website will take a looooong long time

  20. GadgetCheck Says:

Please make a video on how to make a website!

  21. yutubemedia Says:

@FireworksTutorial haha, yeah I remember (overly reacting) complaining about that, its what ever, I enjoy the features and the price =)

  22. yutubemedia Says:

@zomakaja They do give a domain though, but yeah, who know what they incorporate into the price already, though either way its still very cheap even if they do

  23. jazzmaster700 Says:

I am so mad, people keep saying I’m so stupid and making fun of me, youtubemedia, please check my videos out and tell me what you think, if that’s okay with you, I’m a big fan!

  24. zomakaja Says:

@yutubemedia I don’t think they give out a free domain. I believe the price of the domain is included in the price.

  25. FireworksTutorial Says:

Glad to hear you’re satisfied with FatCow. Hope the support is getting better, haha! 😀
