I have a Mac, so files that start with a period are automatically hidden. I downloaded the folder, but I can’t get the .htaccess file. And FileManager won’t let me create one. Please tell me how I can work around this problem. Thanks.

I seem to be having another problem. After following your tutorial, my permalinks are working fine and i can see my posts now. But my “home” page still says under development. I deleted the “home.html” file when trying to find find a fix for it. Is this why my home page isn’t working or is it something else? Would appreciate the help 🙂

How do I create an .htaccess file? Still can’t change my permalink. Tried the .htaccess editor thru Hot Link Protection method but still can’t get .htaccess. I’ve clicked “save” several times already.

  13. Logan0006 Says:

@ducknbean If you are asking about editing the .htaccess file. You have to use the .htaccess editor to create one first, then you can edit the file. You only need to choose something like Hot Link Protection and it will create the file when you click “save”.

I don’t see any button below the video to download htaccess. If you can give me a link that htaccess that would be great! thanks
