    These are AMAZING! I was very intimidated by php until watching these tutorials.

    O yeah…

    If you all have a yahoo account use stmp.mail.yahoo.com as your server. Might work even if you don’t have a yahoo account! or not… idk… lol.

    @expermagicians8888 you gotta use a real email for your mail server. Otherwise, it will not be authenticated.

    @khlimj look at my comment above to fix the port problem, also you have the mail function is this. => mail($to, $subject, $body, $headers); you have a spelling error and added an extra “);”

    We have to set our mail server’s ports.
    $server = “mail.yoursite.com”; //mail server url
    ini_set(“SMTP”,$server);
    ini_set(“smtp_port”,”26″); //set your mail server port
    //function to send email
    mail($to, $subject, $body, $headers);

    I have this errors when follow ur php email activation 4/5:

    Warning: mail() [function.mail]: Failed to connect to mailserver at “mailhost.smtp.gmail.com” port 25, verify your “SMTP” and “smtp_port” setting in php.ini or use ini_set() in C:xamplitehtdocsmysiteloginregister.php on line 91
    You have been registered! Check your email to activate your account!

    If I take out mail($to,$subject,$body,$hearders);); then ok but can’t recieve email at all

    @squernerproductions hey i have the same problem, i already change “SMTP” for “localhost” and still have the same error message as you. i have the code like this: ini_set(“localhost”,$server); but i dont know what to put in $server= ????…. did you solve this problem???!!! please help.

    Hello im after a big big big favor i have made a website but i need the activation part working now some people said i need to buy a email adress that does this but i have a live account if i gave u the scripts would you be able to set this up so people can activate the account as i looked were u put everythink and could not find were they went as they do not go into phpmyadmin My email account is

    @eddyterminator query the database with a normal file’s ID for normal users and premium ID for premium users. so only premium users will see their files.

    to make your users have different levels you can make a “userlevel” field in your users table and lets say , normal users have 0 and higher accounts have 5.
