Changing hosting providers

If you would like to cut costs or are no longer satisfied with their current provider of web hosting may be time to think about changing suppliers of web hosting. Take time to plan your transfer so that you do not lose all your files and data.
Hosting Change Checklist:
– Domain name: where your domain is registered?
– How do you login and change the nameservers
-? Your current IP address________ and your new IP address____________
– your login username and password for the old and new host__________ web control panel or shell access via SSH username and password __________________
– Make a list of email addresses in including user names and passwords
– Make a list of databases, user names and passwords
– make a list of installed software

Changing your domain account
Log in to your domain registrar and change the nameservers. This usually occurs within 72 hours, often much sooner. Dome of the registrars of domain name can transfer the domain in 2 hours, so check out the new IP-address frequently and download files as soon as possible to avoid the site of “idle”
Moving website to a new web hosting provider. :
Download files: Open your FTP program and enter the FTP address to your old web host (for example, ftp.yoursite.com). After logging into the server, right-click on the main folder (usually public_html or WWW) and select download.
Select a local folder on your computer to store files, click OK, and watch all of your files are downloaded to your computer. You still have all your files to the server. Please download may take quite a Abit time depending on the number and size of files
Download Database:. Log in to your old web host control panel Go to databases (typically, My SQL), and use or PhpMyAdmin (usually located at the bottom of the page) or a similar program. Selecting a database you want to download and click on “export.” You are then on-screen information about the database. at the bottom of the search page, “Normal-or-nothing”, “GZip”, or “Zip”. chose one and then upload or send. Save this file to a folder on your computer. Repeat these steps for each database
Upload files to the new owner. Using an FTP program to connect to a new web host. Right-click on the folder (for example, public_html or WWW – or, if there is no folder may need to contact the web hosting provider if you are not sure) and then upload. When asked where you can download these files, select the folders and files to download
Download Database:. Login to your control panel at a new web hosting provider, go to Mysql, and use PhpMyAdmin or similar programs. Select Insert or load function and select the location of the database file before you download, which is stored on your computer. Click “OK or present.” During the import you will see some database commands, and at the bottom it will tell you if it failed or was successful.
