ADTRAN NetVanta Series expanded to Address Larger Networking Applications

(NASDAQ: ADTN) announced, a leading provider of network access equipment, today announced the NetVantaÂ ® 4000 Series access routers, additional WAN interface modules and the latest version the ADTRAN Operating System (OS) v7.1. These additions make NetVanta routing solutions even more attractive as an affordable alternative for small and medium-sized networks.
NetVanta 4305, the first member of the NetVanta 4000 Series is a modular, compact 1U chassis accommodated with space for up to a maximum total bandwidth capacity of eight T1. The NetVanta 4305 has two 10/100 Base-T Ethernet LAN ports for LAN segmentation or DMZ applications. Users can also VPN functionality, allowing the device to up to 1000 IPSec tunnels with DES, 3DES or AES encryption. The NetVanta 4305 also includes Multilink PPP, which provides the ability to aggregate T1s for applications with high bandwidth. This ability also makes the platform attractive for carrier applications such as multi-T1 data services.
