In this tutorial you will learn how to MANUALLY install PHPBB3 onto a REMOTE server with cPanel. read more……………………………….. This video demonstrates installation on a namecheap.com hosted web space, but if you have another hosting provider that provides cpanel this will almost certainly work for you as well. If you want the easy approach, use the Fantastico method demonstrated in other tutorial videos. This tutorial is for people who want to really understand how to install PHPBB manually (it only takes 10 minutes). The namecheap.com “basic” space used in this tutorial costs less than /month. So, in the time that it takes to follow this tutorial and only /month you can have your own fully functioning PHPBB bulletin board/forum complete with content management system on your website.

    Change the permissions on config.php to be writable by all (666 or -rw-rw-rw- within your FTP Client)

    my config.php is empty. what do i write in it?

    The requested URL /phpbb3 was not found on this server. .. i tried renaming it still didint work.

    – speak articulate and clear.
    – explain and talk to the public, not yourself.
    – make sure you show the context of your clicks.
    – at about 5:31 you go so fat one has to try and stop at the right moment to see what you are doing. noone gives a damn about how fast your are. explain what you are doing instead of jumping so fast.

    Problem is, afterwards I cannot change the template. It only lists “subsilver2” as an option to install. How can I change the template to something I’d like?
