To get php and apache installed use xampp. xampp is free and contains php / apache (around 33mb) 1. Download and Install XAMPP from here: www.apachefriends.org 2. on windows go to C:\xampp it should have a folder called htdocs. If you put a file called foo.html into the htdocs folder you should be able to access it by going to localhost or /foo.php. There’s also something called WAMP www.wampserver.com There’s a lot of php tutorials out there just search google www.google.com Request tutorials here youtube.jimmyr.com More PHP TUtorials here killerphp.com Some people have recommended other editors www.scintilla.org www.pspad.com en.wikipedia.org www.context.cx %%programming

If anyone had trouble like me getting xampp to run. In the search box type php basics: install a webserver with php and mysql windows by php academy. It gives far more detail on how to install and run it.

I need a tip from someone, please. I’ve saved several account pages (such as Inbox, sent, trash, etc.) of one website and now I opened them with dreamweaver and am trying to attach one page to another. I’ve edited the ‘a’ tag references but the pages are still separate .php files whereas I need them to be as parts of one .html website. I believe it is an easy task but unfortunately am completely clueless in regards to HTML, CSS etc. thus need help. Thanks.

@jlmadill Well… PHP is actually a language. It’s only that C and C++ are the hardest ones… you gotta start somewhere.

GOod video but, to the comments: This is what the kids are calling ‘programming’ these days? Don’t get me started, but it’s not even compiled! Start with machine code and charges working through CMOS transistors — somewhere around assembly or C we can start talking about ‘programming’. Turing is rolling in his grave.
